The Newton-Conover Red Devils basketball team (Newton, NC), was toppled 58-50 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC)

The Red Tornadoes now possess a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Enka for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 6. Hickory will confront a Jets team coming off a 97-55 non-league win over West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Jets record now stands at 3-0.

The Red Devils (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Patton (Morganton, NC). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Patton beat East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC), 59-44, in a non-league battle.
