Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC), 90-60 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hickory upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Red Tornadoes travel to Foard (Newton, NC) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 27. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 2-7. Foard won 64-56 in their recent league bout against West Iredell (Statesville, NC)

Next up, the Spartans play the Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 27. South Caldwell will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Red Devils go into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 54-50 league win over Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC).
