The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Cross County Cougars (Stromsburg, NE) and the visiting McCool Junction Mustangs (McCool Junction, NE), observed Cross County's basketball team knock off McCool Junction by a score of 58-47.

The Cougars (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Shelby-Rising City (Shelby, NE). The Huskies come into the C2 District 4 challenge with a 0-0 record.

In their next game, the Mustangs encounter the High Plains Storm (Polk, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 11. McCool Junction will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
