Ohio High School Ice Hockey - Steele drops to Mentor

December 5, 2025: Amherst, OH 44001

The Mentor Cardinals bounced the host Steele Comets ice hockey squad by a tally of 8-2 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Cardinals now own a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Perrysburg for a non-league bout on Saturday, December 6. Mentor will encounter a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 1-1 non-league Padua Franciscan (Parma, OH). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 5-1.

With the defeat, Steele moves to 4-2 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Clay (Oregon, OH) to face the Eagles in a non-league match on Saturday, December 6. The Eagles come into the match with a record of 6-2. Clay won 5-2 in their recent non-league match against Non Varsity Opponent (, )
