North Carolina High School Basketball - East Mecklenburg edges Sun Valley

December 6, 2022: Monroe, NC 28110

In Tuesday's non-league outing, the East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC) basketball squad nipped the host Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC), by a margin of 74-72.

The Eagles (5-1) will now prepare for their outing against Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC). The CMS Athletics go into the 4A Conference 59 outing with a 4-2 record. In their last outing, Rocky River got by Palisades (Charlotte, NC), 83-70, in a non-league outing.

The Spartans now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Ardrey Kell for a non-league outing on Friday, December 9. Sun Valley will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 88-72 non-league win over Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC). The Knights record now stands at 4-3.
