Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves (Lansing, IL) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL), 61-56 in a league match.

With the victory, Thornton Fractional South advances its record to 2-4 on the year. The Red Wolves host Argo (Summit, IL) to meet the Argonauts in a South Suburban match on Tuesday, December 10. The Argonauts enter the match with a record of 3-3. Argo won 67-53 in their recent non-league match against Berwyn/Cicero Morton (Cicero, IL)

The Astros now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bremen for a South Suburban match on Tuesday, December 10. Shepard will meet a Braves squad coming off a 67-45 league loss to Oak Lawn (Oak Lawn, IL). The Braves record now stands at 1-5.
