Covenant Eagles (Barboursville, WV) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Truth Guardians (Charleston, WV), 58-57 in a league bout.

With the win, Covenant upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Eagles host Ohio Valley Christian (Gallipolis, OH) to clash with the in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The go into the bout with a record of 1-5. Ohio Valley Christian lost 87-13 in their recent non-league bout against Calvary Baptist Academy (Hurricane, WV)

Next up, the Guardians clash with the Calvary Baptist Academy Patriots (Hurricane, WV) in a West Virginia Christian - AA bout, on Monday, December 12. Truth will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 5-0 record after their 68-51 league win over Teays Valley Christian (Scott Depot, WV).
