Michigan High School Basketball - Houghton crushes L'Anse
December 8, 2022: Houghton, MI 49931 Houghton Gremlins (Houghton, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting L'Anse Purple Hornets (L'Anse, MI), 79-48 in a league bout.
With the win, Houghton upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Gremlins host Hancock (Hancock, MI) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Western Peninsula bout on Thursday, December 15. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Hancock lost 57-26 in their recent league bout against Westwood (Ishpeming, MI)
Next up, the Purple Hornets clash with the Jeffers Jets (Painesdale, MI) in a Copper Mountain - Copper County bout, on Monday, December 12. L'Anse will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Jets go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 50-37 non-league win over Calumet (Calumet, MI).
