Illinois High School Basketball - St. Elmo/Brownstown overwhelmed by St. Anthony
December 9, 2022: Effingham, IL 62401 The St. Anthony Bulldogs basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting St. Elmo/Brownstown Eagles to 31 in the Bulldogs league victory on Friday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newton for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 13. St. Anthony will battle a Eagles team coming off a 54-51 non-league loss to Flora (Flora, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 6-2.
The Eagles (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City (Cowden, IL). The Bobcats come into the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last bout, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City was crushed by Dieterich (Dieterich, IL), 55-40, in a league bout.
