The High Point Eagles basketball team (Beltsville, MD), was overwhelmed 80-42 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Friendly Patriots (Fort Washington, MD)

The Patriots now possess a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gwynn Park for a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A battle on Tuesday, December 13. Friendly will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 46-43 non-league win over St. Elizabeth (Wilmington, DE). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 1-1.

The Eagles (0-2) will now prepare for their battle against Laurel (Laurel, MD). The Spartans come into the Prince George's County 4A battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Laurel trounced Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South (Upper Marlboro, MD), 49-44, in a league battle.
