Pioneer Panthers (Royal Center, IN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting North Miami Warriors (Denver, IN), 41-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Pioneer upgrades its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host LaVille (Lakeville, IN) to play the Lancers in a Hoosier North bout on Friday, December 15. The Lancers come into the bout with a record of 2-1. LaVille won 69-55 in their recent league bout against Winamac (Winamac, IN)

Next up, the Warriors play the Rochester Zebras (Rochester, IN) in a Three Rivers bout, on Friday, December 15. North Miami will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Zebras come into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 58-43 non-league loss to Logansport (Logansport, IN).
