California High School Basketball - Kearny edges Escondido
December 9, 2023: San Diego, CA 92111 The Kearny Komets (San Diego, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Escondido Cougars (Escondido, CA), 52-50 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Komets (5-1) will now prepare for their test against El Capitan (Lakeside, CA). The Vaqueros go into the non-league test with a 7-0 record. In their last test, El Capitan got by Victory Christian Academy (Chula Vista, CA), 69-38, in a non-league test.
The Cougars now own a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Sage Creek for a non-league test on Monday, December 11. Escondido will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 86-46 non-league win over Eastlake (Chula Vista, CA). The Bobcats record now stands at 3-1.
