Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Covington Owls (Covington, TX) and the host Avalon Eagles (Avalon, TX), saw Covington's basketball squad knock off Avalon by a count of 47-39.

With the victory, Covington upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Owls travel to Milford (Milford, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 2. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Milford won 41-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Abbott (Abbott, TX)
