December 1, 2023: Arlington, IA 50606 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Central City Wildcats (Central City, IA) and the host Starmont Stars (Arlington, IA), saw Central City's basketball squad hold off Starmont by a tally of 49-44.
With the victory, Central City improves its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Springville (Springville, IA) to play the Orioles in a Tri-Rivers challenge on Tuesday, December 5. The Orioles come into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Springville won 63-25 in their recent non-league challenge against Central (Elkader, IA)
Next up, the Stars play the East Buchanan Buccaneers (Winthrop, IA) in a Tri-Rivers challenge, on Tuesday, December 5. Starmont will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Buccaneers come into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 55-48 league loss to Maquoketa Valley (Delhi, IA).
