North Carolina High School Basketball - North Gaston can't hold off Hough

December 1, 2023: Cornelius, NC 28031

The Hough Huskies basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting North Gaston Wildcats to 46 in the Huskies non-league triumph on Friday.

The Huskies now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mooresville for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 5. Hough will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 76-73 non-league win over Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-2.

The Wildcats (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Highland Tech was nudged by Bradford Prep (Charlotte, NC), 68-49, in a non-league contest.
