Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Calvert Senecas (Tiffin, OH) and the host Gibsonburg Golden Bears (Gibsonburg, OH), saw Calvert's basketball squad hold off Gibsonburg by a tally of 49-43.

With the victory, Calvert improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Senecas host Margaretta (Castalia, OH) to confront the Polar Bears in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 11. The Polar Bears come into the challenge with a record of 3-1. Margaretta lost 61-50 in their recent league challenge against Huron (Huron, OH)

Next up, the Golden Bears confront the Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains (Bascom, OH) in a Sandusky Bay - River challenge, on Thursday, December 16.
