Washington, DC High School Basketball - Gonzaga nips Jackson-Reed
December 10, 2023: Washington, DC 20001 Fans at Sunday's non-league challenge between the Gonzaga Eagles (Washington, DC) and the visiting Jackson-Reed Tigers (Washington, DC), saw Gonzaga's basketball squad hold off Jackson-Reed by a count of 55-48.
With the victory, Gonzaga upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Eagles host St. John's (Washington, DC) to play the Cadets in a DCSAA AA challenge on Wednesday, December 13. The Cadets come into the challenge with a record of 5-0. St. John's won 78-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Westfield (Chantilly, VA)
Next up, the Tigers play the Ballou Knights (Washington, DC) in a DCSAA A challenge, on Monday, December 11. Jackson-Reed will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 57-34 non-league win over Capital City Public Charter School (Washington, DC).
