December 10, 2024: Leland, MI 49654 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the St. Mary Eagles (Lake Leelanau, MI) and the host Leland Comets (Leland, MI), observed St. Mary's basketball team knock off Leland by a score of 37-18.
The Eagles (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Mesick (Mesick, MI). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Mesick was knocked off by Grand Traverse Academy (Traverse City, MI), 59-48, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Comets encounter the Suttons Bay Norsemen (Suttons Bay, MI) in a Northwest challenge, on Friday, December 13. Leland will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Norsemen come into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 56-36 non-league loss to St. Francis (Traverse City, MI).
