Maryland High School Basketball - Linganore thwarts Urbana

December 10, 2024: Frederick, MD 21701

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Linganore Lancers (Frederick, MD) and the visiting Urbana Hawks (Ijamsville, MD), observed Linganore's basketball team knock off Urbana by a score of 61-42.

The Lancers (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Governor Thomas Johnson (Frederick, MD). The Patriots come into the CMC challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Governor Thomas Johnson dropped by Bullis (Potomac, MD), 74-27, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hawks encounter the Oakdale (Ijamsville, MD) in a CMC challenge, on Friday, December 13. Urbana will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 64-33 league win over Catoctin (Thurmont, MD).
