In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Rustburg Red Devils basketball team scored a big 42-14 triumph over the Altavista Colonels.

The Red Devils (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA). The Raiders go into the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Appomattox County was trounced by Amherst County (Amherst, VA), 57-54, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Colonels battle the William Campbell Generals (Naruna, VA) in a Dogwood contest, on Friday, December 13. Altavista will attempt to better on its 0-4 season record. The Generals go into the contest with a 1-4 record after their 58-31 non-league loss to Liberty (Bedford, VA).
