Virginia High School Basketball - Winston-Salem Christian nips Carlisle
December 11, 2023: Axton, VA 24054 Winston-Salem Christian Lions (Winston-Salem, NC) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Carlisle Chiefs (Axton, VA), 45-41 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Winston-Salem Christian upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Bethany (Summerfield, NC) to play the Wolves in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 14. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 4-7. Bethany won 70-59 in their recent league bout against College Prep & Leadership Academy (Jamestown, NC)
Next up, the Chiefs play the George Washington Eagles (Danville, VA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 16. Carlisle will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record.
