Alabama High School Basketball - Monroe Academy topped by Sparta Academy

December 11, 2023: Evergreen, AL 36401

The Sparta Academy Warriors basketball team scored 41 points and restricted the visiting Monroe Academy Volunteers to 32 in the Warriors non-league win on Monday.

With the win, Sparta Academy upgrades its record to 11-0 on the season. The Warriors travel to Hooper Academy (Hope Hull, AL) to play the Colts in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 14. The Colts go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Hooper Academy lost 69-38 in their recent non-league bout against Glenwood (Phenix City, AL)

Next up, the Volunteers play the Morgan Academy Senators (Selma, AL) in a AISA AAA Region 2 bout, on Thursday, January 4. Monroe Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
