The Sparta Academy Warriors basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Monroe Academy Volunteers to 28 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Warriors now sport a 8-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Dale Academy for a non-league contest on Monday, December 4. Sparta Academy will meet a Eagles team coming off a 63-31 non-league loss to Glenwood (Phenix City, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.

The Volunteers (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Southern Academy (Greensboro, AL). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Southern Academy triumphed over Clarke Prep (Grove Hill, AL), 38-28, in a non-league contest.
