Florida High School Basketball - Lecanto fells Gulf
December 11, 2023: Lecanto, FL 34461 Lecanto Panthers (Lecanto, FL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Gulf Buccaneers (New Port Richey, FL), 49-32 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Lecanto upgrades its record to 7-0 on the season. The Panthers travel to Springstead (Spring Hill, FL) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Springstead lost 49-43 in their recent non-league bout against Citrus (Inverness, FL)
Next up, the Buccaneers play the Mitchell Mustangs (New Port Richey, FL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 13. Gulf will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 7-2 record after their 52-37 non-league win over Countryside (Clearwater, FL).
