Louisiana High School Basketball - Franklinton holds off Sumner
December 12, 2023: Franklinton, LA 70438 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Franklinton Demons (Franklinton, LA) and the visiting Sumner Cowboys (Kentwood, LA), saw Franklinton's basketball squad hold off Sumner by a tally of 33-28.
With the victory, Franklinton improves its record to 4-5 on the campaign. The Demons host Pearl River (Pearl River, LA) to confront the Rebels in a 4A District 8 challenge on Friday, December 15. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 10-2. Pearl River won 56-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Eleanor McMain (New Orleans, LA)
Next up, the Cowboys confront the Loranger Wolves (Loranger, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 14. Sumner will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 48-38 non-league loss to Hammond (Hammond, LA).
