The Vela Sabercats topped the host Sharyland Rattlers basketball team by a final score of 53-34 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Sabercats face the Valley View Tigers (Pharr, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 31 game, on Friday, December 15. Vela will attempt to move on its 17-3 season record. The Tigers go into the outing with a 0-7 record after their 76-9 league loss to Pioneer (Mission, TX).
