Texas High School Basketball - Troup nips Cumberland Academy
December 12, 2024: Tyler, TX 75703 In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Troup Tigers basketball team scored a close 51-49 win over the Cumberland Academy Knights.
The Tigers (9-1) will now prepare for their contest against All Saints Episcopal (Tyler, TX). The Trojans come into the non-league contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, All Saints Episcopal edged Garrison (Garrison, TX), 68-43, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Knights battle the Kilgore Bulldogs (Kilgore, TX) in a 4A Region II District 16 contest, on Friday, December 20. Cumberland Academy will attempt to better on its 3-8 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 0-9 record after their 48-43 non-league loss to Pittsburg (Pittsburg, TX).
