North Carolina High School Basketball - Northwest Halifax holds off Nash Central
December 12, 2024: Rocky Mount, NC 27856 The Northwest Halifax Vikings basketball team scored 65 points and limited the host Nash Central Bulldogs to 61 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Vikings now possess a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Southeast Halifax for a 1A Tar Roanoke game on Friday, December 13. Northwest Halifax will confront a Trojans team coming off a 60-53 non-league win over John Paul II Catholic (Greenville, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, Nash Central falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Southern Nash (Bailey, NC) to confront the Firebirds in a 2A/3A Big East game on Tuesday, December 17. The Firebirds go into the game with a record of 2-2. Southern Nash won 59-37 in their recent non-league game against Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC)
