Iowa High School Basketball - West Central nudges Starmont
December 12, 2024: Arlington, IA 50606 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the West Central Blue Devils (Maynard, IA) and the host Starmont Stars (Arlington, IA), observed West Central's basketball team edge Starmont by a score of 40-35.
The Blue Devils (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Kee (Lansing, IA). The Kee Hawks come into the Upper Iowa challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Kee edged Postville (Postville, IA), 64-24, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Stars encounter the Alburnett Pirates (Alburnett, IA) in a Tri-Rivers - West challenge, on Friday, December 13. Starmont will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 70-32 league loss to North Linn (Troy Mills, IA).
