Clearfield Bison (Clearfield, PA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers (Philipsburg, PA), 46-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Clearfield upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Bison host St. Marys (St. Marys, PA) to play the Flying Dutch in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 14. The Flying Dutch come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Mountaineers play the Bald Eagle Area Bald Eagles (Wingate, PA) in a Mountain bout, on Thursday, December 16. Philipsburg-Osceola will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
