In Tuesday's league match, the visiting North Brunswick Scorpions basketball team scored a tight 40-37 triumph over the Topsail Pirates.

In their next game, the Scorpions meet the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 20 match, on Friday, December 16. North Brunswick will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Buccaneers enter the match with a 9-0 record after their 67-63 league win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC).
