December 13, 2022: Bessemer City, NC 28016

The Bessemer City Yellow Jackets (Bessemer City, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Huss Huskies (Gastonia, NC), 56-51 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Yellow Jackets (6-1) will now prepare for their test against Thomas Jefferson (Mooresboro, NC). The Gryphons go into the 1A/2A Conference 40 test with a 6-2 record. In their last test, Thomas Jefferson got by Blacksburg (Blacksburg, SC), 57-32, in a non-league test.

The Huskies now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Kings Mountain for a 3A Conference 50 test on Friday, December 16. Huss will encounter a Mountaineers squad coming off a 60-38 league loss to Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC). The Mountaineers record now stands at 3-1.
