The Laurel Spartans basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting High Point Eagles to 15 in the Spartans league triumph on Tuesday.

The Spartans now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wise for a Prince George's County 4A contest on Thursday, December 15. Laurel will meet a Pumas team coming off a 34-29 league win over Parkdale (Riverdale, MD). The Pumas record now stands at 2-0.

The Eagles (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against DuVal (Lanham, MD). The Tigers enter the Prince George's County 4A contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, DuVal was routed by Saint John Paul the Great Catholic (Dumfries, VA), 46-32, in a non-league contest.
