Sycamore Spartans (Sycamore, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mendota Trojans (Mendota, IL), 52-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sycamore upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Spartans travel to Morris (Morris, IL) to clash with the Redskins in a Interstate Eight bout on Friday, December 15. The Redskins go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Morris won 75-72 in their recent league bout against Rochelle (Rochelle, IL)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the Rock Falls Rockets (Rock Falls, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Mendota will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record.
