Illinois High School Basketball - Sycamore can't hold off Ottawa
December 8, 2023: Sycamore, IL 60178 The Ottawa Pirates basketball team scored 32 points and restricted the host Sycamore Spartans to 29 in the Pirates league victory on Friday.
The Pirates now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Plano for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. Ottawa will battle a Reapers team coming off a 54-53 league loss to Woodstock North (Woodstock, IL). The Reapers record now stands at 3-5.
The Spartans (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Mendota (Mendota, IL). The Trojans come into the non-league contest with a 5-5 record. In their last contest, Mendota edged Hall (Spring Valley, IL), 52-49, in a league contest.
