The Hopewell Vikings basketball squad scored 67 points and held the host New Brighton Lions to 60 in the Vikings non-league victory on Friday.

With the victory, Hopewell advances its record to 4-3 on the year. The Vikings travel to Keystone Oaks (Pittsburgh, PA) to meet the Golden Eagles in a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 17. The Golden Eagles enter the battle with a record of 5-0. Keystone Oaks won 67-58 in their recent non-league battle against Seton LaSalle (Pittsburgh, PA)

The Lions now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mohawk Area for a WPIAL 3A 1 battle on Tuesday, December 17. New Brighton will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 61-42 league win over Riverside (Ellwood City, PA). The Warriors record now stands at 3-1.
