The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Spring Valley Grizzlies (Las Vegas, NV) and the visiting Desert Pines Jaguars (Las Vegas, NV), observed Spring Valley's basketball team edge Desert Pines by a score of 52-49.

The Grizzlies (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Monica (Santa Monica, CA). The Mariners come into the non-league challenge with a 11-0 record. In their last challenge, St. Monica edged Venice (Los Angeles, CA), 70-20, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Jaguars encounter the Bellevue Wolverines (Bellevue, WA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 26. Desert Pines will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record.
