Louisiana High School Basketball - Riverdale triumphant over Newman
December 13, 2024: New Orleans, LA 70115 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Riverdale Rebels (Jefferson, LA) and the host Newman Greenies (New Orleans, LA), observed Riverdale's basketball team overwhelm Newman by a score of 63-37.
The Rebels (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Lutcher (Lutcher, LA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Lutcher trounced St. Charles Catholic (LaPlace, LA), 57-26, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Greenies battle the Cohen Green Hornets (New Orleans, LA) in a 2A District 10 challenge, on Friday, December 20. Newman will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record.
