The Veritas Christian Academy Warriors defeated the host Shelby Golden Lions basketball squad by a final score of 50-40 in Friday's non-league outing.

Next, the Warriors clash with the Bethel Christian Academy Crusaders (Spruce Pine, NC) in a non-league outing, on Monday, January 6. Veritas Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record.

The Golden Lions (2-3) will now prepare for their outing against Crest (Shelby, NC). The Chargers come into the non-league outing with a 1-1 record. In their last outing, Crest overcame North Gaston (Dallas, NC), 63-40, in a league outing.
