In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Shelby Golden Lions basketball team scored a big 65-40 triumph over the Veritas Christian Academy Warriors.

The Golden Lions (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC). The Wolves go into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record.

In their next game, the Warriors battle the Bethel Christian Academy Crusaders (Spruce Pine, NC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 6. Veritas Christian Academy will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record.
