December 13, 2024: Maiden, NC 28650 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC) and the host Maiden Blue Devils (Maiden, NC), observed East Burke's basketball team overwhelm Maiden by a score of 63-39.
The Cavaliers (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Patriots come into the non-league challenge with a 7-1 record. In their last challenge, Freedom trounced North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC), 60-48, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Blue Devils encounter the West Lincoln Rebels (Lincolnton, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 20. Maiden will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 66-43 non-league loss to Bandys (Catawba, NC).
