In Saturday's non-league test, the Broaddus Bulldogs (Broaddus, TX) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Chireno Owls (Chireno, TX), by a score of 47-38.

Next, the Bulldogs encounter the Apple Springs Eagles (Apple Springs, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 27 test, on Tuesday, December 16. Broaddus will attempt to improve on its 14-3 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 0-5 record after their 33-32 non-league loss to Spurger (Spurger, TX).
