Hudson Pirates (Hudson, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting South Hardin Tigers (Eldora, IA), 42-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hudson upgrades its record to 2-5 on the season. The Pirates travel to Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA) to play the Falcons in a North Iowa Cedar - East bout on Friday, December 17. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Aplington-Parkersburg won 48-37 in their recent non-league bout against Jesup (Jesup, IA)

Next up, the Tigers play the East Marshall Mustangs (Le Grand, IA) in a North Iowa Cedar - West bout, on Friday, December 17. South Hardin will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record.
