Wichita County Indians (Leoti, KS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Stanton County Trojans (Johnson, KS), 46-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Wichita County upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Indians host St. Francis (St. Francis, KS) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 16. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 4-2. St. Francis won 63-45 in their recent non-league bout against Wheatland-Grinnell (Grainfield, KS)

Next up, the Trojans play the Lakin Broncs (Lakin, KS) in a Hi-Plains bout, on Friday, December 17. Stanton County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Broncs go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 56-23 non-league win over Sublette (Sublette, KS).
