The North Stanly Comets basketball team scored 59 points and held the host West Stanly Colts to 29 in the Comets non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Comets now sport a 8-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Montgomery Central for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 20. North Stanly will battle a Timberwolves team coming off a 53-33 non-league win over Union Pines (Cameron, NC). The Timberwolves record now stands at 5-2.

The Colts (0-7) will now prepare for their contest against Piedmont (Monroe, NC). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Piedmont was routed by Monroe (Monroe, NC), 46-35, in a non-league contest.
