In Thursday's league outing, the South Pointe Griffins (Phoenix, AZ) basketball squad edged the visiting West Phoenix Eagles (Phoenix, AZ), by a margin of 62-55.

The Griffins (3-2) will now prepare for their outing against Bella Vista College Preparatory School (Scottsdale, AZ). The Bears go into the non-league outing with a 6-3 record. In their last outing, Bella Vista College Preparatory School held off Dream City Christian National (Glendale, AZ), 70-67, in a non-league outing.
