In Thursday's non-league outing, the Philip Scotties (Philip, SD) basketball squad edged the host Stanley County Buffalos (Fort Pierre, SD), by a count of 44-40.

The Scotties (2-0) will now prepare for their outing against Faith (Faith, SD). The Longhorns go into the non-league outing with a 3-0 record. In their last outing, Faith held off Kadoka (Kadoka, SD), 48-42, in a non-league outing.
