The Timberlake Christian Tornadoes (Forest, VA) basketball nipped the host New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA), 27-20 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Tornadoes (4-1) will now prepare for their test against Roanoke Valley Christian (Roanoke, VA). The EAGLES go into the non-league test with a 0-3 record. In their last test, Roanoke Valley Christian was tipped by Christian Heritage Academy (Rocky Mount, VA), 18-13, in a league test.
