The Palestine Wildcats (Palestine, TX) basketball edged the visiting Waco Lions (Waco, TX), 52-47 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Wildcats now possess a 7-6 record. They play next when they host Athens for a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 17. Palestine will play a Hornets team coming off a 50-40 non-league win over Palmer (Palmer, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 7-6.
