The Sandy Creek Patriots basketball team scored 71 points and limited the visiting Newnan Cougars to 50 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Patriots now possess a 7-2 record. They play next when they host Trinity Christian for a AAA Region 2 game on Thursday, December 19.

With the loss, Newnan falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Callaway (Hogansville, GA) to confront the Cavaliers in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 17.
